MEET THE FOUNDER
My name is Valeria Forsyth, and in May 2020, in the middle of a pandemic that changed everything, I started a brand from scratch.
I was a flight attendant, grounded by Covid-19. With time on my hands and a desire to create something of my own, I started handmaking acrylic sunglass hangers from my home in Lima, Peru. What began as a small passion project quickly grew into something I had never imagined.
As the business grew, so did my vision. New materials, new products, Peruvian leather, alpaca, and designs that felt both personal and purposeful. By December 2021, I packed up my brand and moved to Miami. Starting over in a new country is never easy, leaving your comfort zone, not knowing anyone, not knowing how things work. But I knew why I was doing it, and that was enough to keep going.
My first pop-up taught me one of my biggest lessons. I walked in thinking every event would be a success, and it wasn't. But that moment taught me more than any good day ever could. I kept showing up, I kept learning, and slowly Valeria Forsyth found its community.
Through it all, my family never stopped believing in me. Their support was my foundation on the hardest days.
